What is Form 2290?
The IRS 2290 Form is a “federal heavy vehicle use tax return form” used to report heavy vehicle information to the Internal Revenue Service. In general, the IRS requires every vehicle operator who operates a business or trade using heavy vehicles weighing 55,000 pounds or more on public roads needs to file a Form 2290.
